Ocean Storm The Weekender Soft Top Surfboard

You’re new to the world of surf and you’re looking for a board that is made for beginners? Our newest modèle “The Weekender” is a board made entirely of foam (with no fibre class layer). It is light to carry but still offers enough volume to have lots of fun on your first
waves. This board is made for beginner surfers and is therefore also the surf schools favorite pick.

We can generally base our choice of board
size by looking at weight and height of the surfer. If you are a beginner surfer and… 

…you weigh between 15kg and 25kg with a height between 95cm and 125cm, we suggest to take a board between 6’0’’ and 6’6’’

…you weigh between 25kg and 35kg with a height between 125cm and 140cm, we suggest to take
a board between 6’0’’ and 7’0’’ (standard)

…weigh between 35kg and 55kg with a height between 140cm and 165cm, we suggest to take a board between 7’0’’ (standard or BigBoy) and 8’0’’.

…you weigh between 55kg and 65kg with a height between 160cm and 175cm, we suggest to take
a board between 7’6’’ and 8’0’’ (standard or BigBoy)

…you weigh between 65kg et 75kg with a height between 170cm and 180cm, we suggest a board
between 8’0’’ et 9’0’’

…you are heavier and/or taller than the above mentioned, we suggest a 8’0’’ BigBoy

If you weigh less than average, we suggest to choose the model Start Up. It is slightly less thick and therefore has a bit less volume than the The Weekender.

If you weigh more than average, we suggest to choose the The Weekender BigBoy model. It is slightly wider and has more volume than the standard mode.

If you are a more advanced surfer, you can
choose a board that is slightly smaller (one size smaller) than the one suggested.

The Weekender is a 100% Softboard. It has two bamboo stringers reinforced with fiberglass and a HDPE slick bottom.

It has built in carry handles for easy handling.

In order to not loose any time and to make sure that you have everything you need for your next surf, you might want to add the following to your board :

• Wax (link)
• Traction pad : you don’t need to add a traction pad to the King Pin model. Only add a layer of wax to get some extra grip.
